For my project, I aim to design and build a website that presents my resume for future employment use cases. Furthermore, this website should allow for frequent updates to my resume and serve as a portfolio of past work. As this website is basic, its creation should be straightforward. Using a website as a portfolio would allow several improvements to my quality of life: I can easily update my resume, attach files and past work to the website, and personalise how the website is presented. Additionally, I can easily share my resume with others by providing a link that opens on many devices. To create this website, I will utilise Nginx. This will allow me to create my website easily. To customise this website, the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) will be used. Furthermore, I will host my website on the Microsoft Azure platform, using the Ubuntu operating system. To allow this website to achieve all my user goals, it must contain several features. These features include the ability to update the website's content. The website must include a section for storing past work, serving as both an archive and a portfolio of my work. This website must be able to present both animated videos and images. Finally, the website must have a visually appealing design that makes it look nice and well-organised.
For this website, all content should be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution license. By doing so, others can create, distribute, display, and create derivative works of the website I create. However, to do so, I must be credited for the original work. This fits, as the software used to create this website is not owned or created by myself. Furthermore, the idea of creating a resume website is not my original idea and has been done many times before, so others should be allowed to use my work to do the same.
